Tea Pavilion (idea)

INTRODUCTION

A traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony is all about acting, respecting a series of movements that end at a sitting position where participants enjoy a warm cup of deliciouse tea.

The main idea of this pavilion is that visitors, without practically even noticing, respect these movements (bowing, walking slowly and finally sitting down) just by following architectural forms.

Playing with strict heights this pavilion invites visitors to act as part of a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony. Here it's not possible to move in the wrong direction, the shell- formed pavilion shows you the correct movement as you walk into it just as if you already knew the way.
